Surveyor's Quest is built for high-schoolers, so safety isn't an afterthought — it's the foundation. Here's exactly how we protect you.
Your name stays yours
Everywhere other people can see you — leaderboards, the community, Field Find — we only ever show your first name and last initial. We never show a student's full name, email, age, or contact info in public.
No private student-to-student chat
You can't be messaged privately by another student. Community channels are moderated and group-based, so there's no place for a stranger to corner you 1:1.
Mentors are real, licensed surveyors
The mentors you can talk to are verified professionals. Talking with a mentor requires a parent or guardian's consent if you're under 18, and those conversations are logged — never hidden private video.
Moderation that has your back
Posts and messages run through automatic checks for bad language and anyone trying to share phone numbers, emails, or social handles. Off-platform contact attempts get held for a human to review.
Block & report, anytime
See something off? Use Report on any message or post, or Block a user. Reports go straight to our team. When in doubt, report it — you won't get in trouble for using it.
Keep it on-platform
Never share your phone number, address, school name, or socials, and never agree to meet someone in person. If anyone asks you to, report them. Real mentorship happens right here.
